I'm Alex -- welcome to my site.
I'm currently building an AI hedge fund at Milton Maxwell. I work out of Dogpatch, SF, where I'm also building a community for 0-1 founders called Patchworks.
Between '23 and '25, I founded a lab focused on programmable cryptography and zero knowledge proofs, exploring viability of different digital signatures for proving p2p payment transfers. I believe this technology will completely change how we interact with the internet.
I previously co-founded Set Labs, a startup delivering digital asset management solutions built on programmable blockchains. I led product and engineering from 2017 to 2023
Before that, my Silicon Valley tour included roles at Square, Caviar, Apple, and Zynga. I studied EECS at UC Berkeley.
I host a bi-weekly poker game for founders and operators at South Park Commons where I was formerly a member. I also enjoy teaching poker lessons for recreational players.
